In this thesis the metabolic pathways of the new and very potent D-2 agnist 2-(N-propyl-N-2-thienylethylamino)-5-hydroxytetralin (N-0437) have been investigated in rats and monkeys after different dosing routes. In addition, some bioanalytical aspects of the drug wre studied in telation to its metabolism. The drug was synthesized at the department of Medicinal Chemistry and it has potential applications in Parkinson's deisease, schizophrenia and glaucoma.
