Recursos de acceso abierto en el marco de la sociedad del conocimiento: hacia la democratización de información

The information society and knowledge raises a number of paradigms in which information and education have a fundamental role in the development and strengthening of that. Open access resources are fundamental to the sustainable development of XXI century, due to the advantages they bring to the scientific and humanistic. These information resources are based on the open access movement, which is an inherent issue with library science. The aim of this paper is to analyze and reflect the impact they have open access and open access resources for educational and informational purposes, and in direct position to the democratization of information within the information society and knowledge. The structure of this document consists of three parts: first, we analyze the information society and knowledge from the perspective of educational and informative, and second, is discussed with regard to open access and open access resources, third, scoring some reflections on the democratization of information
