Towards a Psychology of Coordination: Exploring Feeling and Focus in the Individual and Group in Music-making

Graduate School provides for doctoral candidates composing their Acknowledgement section. I have been hoping to take full advantage of this opportunity to do just that, for without the involvement of any one person in my life, I may have ended up in an entirely different place. With many people to thank, I believe that a few words go a long way, so here goes. First, I would like to thank God whose gracious spirit has seen fit to guide me to this place at this time. The love and hope I see manifest in nature and in the people around me have sustained me in this journey, and I believe that has been a reflection of God’s love in my life. Apart from God, I think the people most in control of my dissertation destiny have been my committee members. They already know how grateful I am for their constant support, but for those unfamiliar with their impact, I hope the following words will be enlightening.
