This report is an attempt to highlight his deficiency, and details a rapid and sensitive gas chromatographic approach which relies heavily on the NPD for selectivity and sensitivity. The approach makes use of appropriate internal standards and a simple ex-traction procedure, which results in a final 'micro ' extract, an aliquot of which may be injected irectly into the GLC/NPD system, without further sample preparation or derivatization of drug compounds.
