The aim of this research was to identify the factors that will influence Black managers to stay in an organisation. The sample comprised of African managers of both genders, who earned above R350 000 per annum and are employed by listed companies, in Gauteng. Ready, Hill and Conger (2008) framework was adapted and four variables were used to identify the factors that will influence Black managers to stay in an organisation. The four variables were the brand of an organisation, the opportunity within an organisation, the culture within an organisation and the purpose of an organisation.
