R factor = 0.067; wR factor = 0.141; data-to-parameter ratio = 14.0. The title compound, C5H9NO2, is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation for the non-H atoms = 0.036 Å) and an intra-molecular N—H O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring.
