Abstract: Organizational politics is one of the important issues arising at workplace. Individuals who are involved in office politics not only consume time and resource in order to gain their own benefits at the cost of company or organization’s interests, but also cause an ample amount of hindrance for other employees in form of disturbing their routine work behaviors such as organizational citizenship behaviors. We have tried to explore the relationship of perceived organizational politics and its effect on the extra role performance of the employees, and also checked how does this relationship effects if personality traits are incorporated as moderator, such as self-monitoring.
