This research explores the impact of employee attitudes towards HR practices on organizational commitment. A survey of employees within three financial services organizations (N = 288) shows that commitment is multi-dimensional and that attitudes impact on different forms of commitment, with possibly different performance outcomes. We propose a model that highlights the need for HRM researchers to focus greater attention at the level of the employee and to recognise the complexities surrounding the commitment construct
