A simple and comprehensive introduction of the Finite Element Method for undergraduate courses is proposed.\ud With very simple mathematics, students can easily understand it. The primary objective is to make students\ud comfortable with the approach and cognizant of its potentials. The technique is based on the general overview of\ud the steps involved in the solution of a typical finite element problem. This is followed by simple examples of\ud mathematical developments which allow developing and demonstrating the major aspects of the finite element\ud approach unencumbered by complicating factors
