17 Deaths From Grippe and Pneumonia in Boston

• Ten deaths from influenza and 7 from pneumonia were reported among civilians yesterday• No deaths were reported among soldiers or sailors in the area• 18 new cases among 21,000 sailors; all new recruits• The Emergency Public Health Committee was dissolved yesterday and its functions have been taken over by the State Public Safety Committee• Chair of the Emergency Committee Henry B. Endicott said “The State Emergency Public Health Committee, in dissolving, feels that it has fulfilled its most important function, since it has been instrumental in bringing together local machinery which is proving so responsible and effective.
