The Problem of "Expectations Gap" of Users of the Audit Results: the Nature, Causes and Ways of Overcoming

В статье исследуются вопросы общественного мнения об аудите и причины возникновения «разрыва в ожиданиях». Предложена концепция определения «разрыва в ожиданиях» в аудите, в основе которой необходимость решения таких задач, как выявление информационных потребностей пользователей результатами работы аудитора, их ожиданий и оценка воспринятого качества аудита. Обоснованы характеристики «эталонного» и «минимального» сервиса при выполнении аудита, «зоны толерантности», а также четырех уровней разрыва (в осведомленности и восприятии аудиторами интересов, потребностей и ожиданий пользователей, в стандартах, обслуживании, коммуникациях). Раскрыты причины их возникновения и пути преодоления, выступающие основой для определения направлений развития аудита и повышения его качества на современном этапе социально-экономического развития. The issues of public opinion of the audit and the causes of «expectations gap» have been investigated in the article. The concept definition «expectations gap» in the audit, which is based on the need to solve such problems as the identification of information needs of users of the results of the auditor’s work, their expectations and assessment of perceived quality of audit has been proposed. The characteristics of «standard» and «minimal» services in the performance of audit, «zone of tolerance» and four levels of the gap (in the awareness and perception by the auditors the interests, needs and expectations of users, in standards, in service, in communication) have been substantiated.
