The paper provides the results obtained in the study of the features of metallic platinum, rhodium and iridium dissolution in hydrochloric acid solutions under hydrothermal autoclave conditions. Hydrogen peroxide was used as an oxidizing agent. Solid and liquid phases were brought into contact after reaching a predetermined temperature, which is critically important in the study of rhodium black and platinum plate dissolution kinetics due to the high rates of these processes. The concentrations of metals in solutions were determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.
