Maternal concerns for themselves and the newborn due to the COVID-19 disease

Cilj istraživanja: Cilj je ispitati zabrinuto st rodilja za novorođenče i sebe tijekom boravka u rodilištu, a uslijed pandemije COVID 19 u odnosu na dob, broj poroda i stručnu spremu. Ustroj studije : Provedeno je presječno istraživanje. Ispitanici i metode: Istraživanje je provedeno tijekom ožujka 2021. godine na Klinici za g i nekologiju i opstetriciju, Odjel rodilišta, Kliničkoga bolničkog centra Osijek, a obuhvatilo je 100 rodilja. Upitnik se sastojao od dva dijela. Sociodemografska obilježja činila su prvi dio upitnika: dob, broj poroda i razinu o brazovanja. Drugi dio upitnika sastojao se od pet vrsta zabrinutosti rodilja: zabrinutost za sebe, novorođenče, partnera, obitelj i zabrinutost zbog b o lesti COVID 19. Rezultati: Rezultati provedenoga istraživanja pokazuju kako su ispitanice malo zabrinute za sebe, novorođenče i bolest COVID 19. Ispitanice dobne skupine od 25 do 30 godina značajn i je su malo zabrinute za financijsku egzistenciju svoje obitelji zbog bolesti COVID 19, dok su one kojima je to drugi porod, značajno malo zabrinute zbog mogućnosti zaraze bolešću C O VID 19. Ispitanice kojima je ovo prvi porod, značajnije su umjereno zabrinute zbog epizi o tomije i hranjenja novorođenčeta. Ispitanice sa VŠS značajno su umjereno zabrinute oko o g raničavanja posjeta i malo zabrinutije oko provođenja zajedn ičkoga vremena (majka otac) za razliku od ispitanica sa SSS, VSS te ostale. Zaključak: Provedeno istraživanje pokazuje kako ispitanice nisu zabrinute oko svoga odnosa s partnerom i obitelji, zabrinute su za sebe, novorođenče i bolest COVID 19. Prvorotke su značajnije zabrinute zbog sebe i novorođenčeta, dok su ispitanice VŠS značajno umjereno z a brinute oko ograničavanja posjeta u odnosu na ostale.Objective of the research: The objective is to examine the level of anxiety among parturient women for their infants and themselves; also, during the COVID 1 pandemic, the level of anxiety related to their a ge, number of births and profession. Organization of the study : Cross sectional study has been done. Examinees and methods : The research has been conducted during March 2021 at the Obste t rics and Gynecology Clinic, Maternity Ward, hospital in Osijek, with the participation of one hundred parturient women. The questionnaire consisted of two parts. The first part of the questionnaire covered sociodemographic character i stics: age, number of births, and level of education. The second part consisted of five type s of anxiety: concern for oneself, an infant, a partner, a family and COVID 19 disease. Results : Results of the conducted research show how the examinees are not very concerned about themselves, an infant and COVID 19 disease. The examinees between age 2 5 to 30 are significantly less concerned for the financial situation of their family whereas women who have given birth for the second time are significantly less worried to get infected by COVID 19. The examinees who have given birth for the first time ar e considerably moderately co n cerned about episiotomy and feeding of the infant. The women with a college degree are significantly moderately worried regarding visit restrictions and a bit more co n cerned about family time (mother father) than the examinees with secondary education, a university de g ree and others. Conclusion : The conducted research shows how the examinees are not conce r ned about their relationship with a partner and a family; they are worried for themselves, an infant and C O VID 19 disease. Ne w mothers are considerably more concerned about themselves and a newborn baby whereas, in relation to others, women with a college degree are significantly moderately worried r e garding visit restrictions
