The investigation of multilayer structure optical properties and the development of new diffraction devices are the aim of the paper. During the investigation methods of the laser radiation non-linear diffraction and numerical experiment have been used. The classification of diffraction effects has been held with the help of non-linear optics methods. The diffraction waveguide regime has been distinguished in periodical structures of various nature. The obtaining method of the regular blast structure of "faceted" type has been developed. A modulator of the non-polarized radiation has been suggested.
