Aims: 1) To provide evidence of construct validity using confirmatory factor analysis and verify if the ability to access phonological information on mental lexicon in preschoolers can be similarly assessed by rapid naming tasks using objects and colors; 2) To test for convergent validity by running correlations between children’s performance on Rapid Naming, Phonological Memory and Phonological Awareness tasks; and 3) To standardize the Rapid Naming Test for preschool children using the age-specific reference interval method.
