Risk factors and prophylaxis of the occupational burnout among nurses.

Tytuł pracy: Czynniki ryzyka a profilaktyka wypalenia zawodowego wśrod pielęgniarek. Celem pracy była ocena czynników ryzyka wystąpienia syndromu wypalenia zawodowego u pielęgniarek pracujących w szpitalu oraz sposobów zapobiegania jego wystąpieniu. Badania przeprowadzono w grupie stu pielęgniarek zatrudnionych w Szpitalu Specjalistycznym im. S. Żeromskiego w Krakowie. W celu uzyskania materiału badawczego wykorzystano autorski kwestionariusz ankiety oraz Kwestionariusz Wypalenia Zawodowego Christiny Maslach (MBI). Badania wykazały, że zdaniem ankietowanych ważnymi czynnikami wypalenia zawodowego są: nieadekwatne zarobki w stosunku do wykonywanej pracy, zbyt duże wymagania, zmianowość pracy i związany z tym nieregularny tryb życia. Poziom wypalenia zawodowego w badanej grupie pielęgniarek był stosunkowo niski. W ocenie badanych pielęgniarek najlepszymi sposobami w zapobieganiu wypalenia zawodowego są: poprawa warunków pracy i wynagrodzenia, treningi i kursy psychologiczne oraz skuteczne sposoby radzenia sobie ze stresem.The title of the study: Risk factors and prophylaxis of the occupational burnout among nurses. The aim of the study was to carry out the evaluation of the risk factors, which may trigger the incidence of the occupational burnout syndrome among nurses working in the hospital as well as to carry out the methods to prevent the occupational burnout syndrome occurrence. The study included the group of hundred nurses being employed in the Żeromski Specialized Hospital in Cracow. In order to gain the material for research the questionnaire in copyright and Christine Maslach's Occupational Burnout Questionnaire (MBI) were tapped. The results which have been obtained showed that, according to the polled people's opinion, wages incompliant with discharged duties, excessive requirements, shift-work and the irregular lifestyle bound up with it are the important factors of the occupational burnout. The level of the occupational burnout in the control group of nurses was relatively low. From the tested nurses' point of view the best ways to avoid the occupational burnout are: work conditions improvement, wages augmentation, trainings and psychological courses as well as the efficient methods of managing the stress
