This work presents the issues associated with the cult of St. James in Europe. Based on the twelfth-century Liber Sancti Jacobi source, which is a collection of medieval texts relating to St. Jacob. The work consists of four parts. The first two relate to general issues related to the cult of saints and the cult of St. James the Apostle in the Middle Ages. The third chapter contains devoted to the practice of pilgrimage. Includes detailed information about the motifs making the pilgrimage, the social composition of the pilgrims and pilgrims iconography.
