Cable in the Classroom: A Valuable Educational Resource

Recently I decided to make a career transition from the world of cable television management into the educational realm. Fortunately, the transition was successful, and I have just completed my first year of full time teaching. When electing a topic for a thesis, I focused on an opportunity to address an area of concern that has generated from my interests in both the cable industry and education: Cable in the Classroom. Culture in the United States has become visually oriented with an inundation of information and entertainment through the visual realm. Children of this culture will best respond to knowledge received in a visual format. The research I have chosen to pursue will explore the benefits of the program as well as the obstacles to achieving the most efficacious manner of usage. Finally, the research will lead to a direction of recommendations for increasing utilization of this valuable learning resource.
