Blockade of TNF-α has emerged as one of the most promising therapies in autoimmune diseases including uveitis. Currently, there are three TNF-α antagonists: two monoclonal antibodies (infliximab and adalimumab) and a soluble receptor that binds soluble TNF-α (etanercept).
