The paper presents a method for the extraction of the transfer impedance of braided cable shield from measurement of the shielding effectiveness using a reverberation chamber. The cable shield is modelled by a distribution of voltage generators related to the external current induced by the reverberation chamber field. The field inside the reverberation chamber is described in terms of a plane wave integral representation, implemented by a proper FDTD (Finite Difference in Time Domain) algorithm to calculate current induced along the cable shield.
