The intensification of agriculture which contributed to on increasement of food production occurred also on increasement of pesticide usage to control plagues which affect cultures. Without pollinators many plants could not reproduce neither could produce seeds, and the population which depend on that declined, through human food depends on pollinated plants or benefited by animal pollination.
