To improve the quality and efficiency of the pump, especially \"Reciprocating Pump\" then writing about trouble shooting and maintenance of reciprocating pump is very important. Writing about reciprocating pump itself due to lack of media or references to trouble shooting and maintenance of reciprocating pump in Indonesian as well as to support the existing maintenance methods. The role of this thesis is very important because as a media reference in carrying out maintenance process. With good maintenance process, it is expected to keep the condition of the equipment and machinery is always in a state ready for use on any necessary optimally so as to ensure continuity of production as well as to extend the use of the equipment and to ensure safety so as to provide optimal working comfort.
