Introduction. Studies conducted in Poland and the world show that the greatest exposure to burnout exists among medical staff and most concerns of nurses. Aim of the study. Assessment of exposure to stress and burnout of nurses working in a closed health care in the province of Podlaskie, depending on the job. Material and methods. The study was conducted in the last quarter of 2009 among 102 nurses working in a closed health care in the Podlaskie province. The research method was a diagnostic survey.
