The focus of this thesis is the concept of Chineseness & its development during the XX-XXX Centuries. The purpose of this thesis is to prove that the concept of Chineseness during XX-XXI Centuries was constantly changing, which despite China’s efforts to homogenize it still has different meaning in China & its diasporas. The research of critical primary and secondary sources in regards to the topic of Chineseness in the XX-XXI Centuries was used as a method in this thesis. First of all, Chineseness is a constantly changing concept which was changed by the process of political isolation of Taiwan & Hong Kong from the mainland.
