Abstract

Racecar ergonomics is typically not the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of automobile racing. However, without thinking about ergonomics when designing a racecar, the driver may not be able to perform to the best of their ability. In order to implement an ergonometric design, it must be applied to the frame before it is built. Formula SAE has a number of rules that need to be taken into consideration, especially when designing the seat placement, harness tabs, and steering wheel position.
