The poster describes and evaluates the development of a blended (online and face2face) community of researchers. As a form of voluntary workplace engagement, communities of practice are characterized in literature as an organic, informal entity with the potential to support collaboration, knowledge building and sharing. The author shares the examples of initiatives of the Research Consortium (RC) in support of various aspects of scholarly communication, from “Open Science” Write Day to the series of workshops and webinars on measuring and enhancing research impact.
