Overview of Researches on Revision in Writing

Writing is very important and useful competency because it enables us to understand deeply and put your thoughts together. That is, writers have to evaluate both their own thoughts and the writings so that they revise the writings to suit for their thoughts. This paper outlined the researches on writing especially focused on revising process and revision. I describe the process as not static but dynamic and recursive. On revising process, writers work on not only the actual writing output but also mental texts in their mind. The difference between experts\u27revising skills and/or strategies and non-experts\u27suggests what skills enhance the writing quality. These findings are discussed in educational context
