R factor = 0.045; wR factor = 0.155; data-to-parameter ratio = 24.7. In the title compound, C13H10ClN3O2, the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 3.61 (6). In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by weak intermolecular C— H O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the bc plane.
