In this position paper, we explore electro-encephalography (EEG) techniques for games user re-search, such as frequency analysis, hemispheric asym-metry and the event-related potential technique (ERP). We also briefly introduce how to prepare EEG data and what equipment is available for each technique. We hope to outline the benefits of EEG research for the growing array of physiological measures used in Game
