This work deals with the analysis of parametric models of a MR linear damper, which suit various rheological structures of the MR fluid. The MR fluid structure and properties, damper description and parametric damper models which are connected in various ways with the actual behaviour of the MR fluid are presented. Based on computer simula-tions, the effectiveness of the models under predicted MR linear damper behaviour is shown. The values of the parametric models used in the simulations were determined in an identification experiment.
