Background: Sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy has emerged as one of the most appreciated techniques for reducing the rate of complete lymph node dissection (LND) performed in patients with early-stage cervical cancer (ECC). However, its performances are still a matter of debate and, to improve them, international guidelines recommend performing at least unilateral LND in case of SLN mapping.
