Designing a MHD-Generator for a nuclear MHD-power plant we have to consider several parameters in connection with the total plant loop. Thus we get a limitation for the parameters in which it is possible to build the MHD-generator without conflicting with the conditions of the other components of the power plant:. Using a onedimensional theory the two working gases, argon and helium seeded whith cesium were numerically investigated Considering the friction losses the upper limit for the pressure was calculated at which it is possible to gain enough power in dependence on the Machnumber. Several examples are shown of the calculated parameters in the generator
