Vliv chráněného zeměpisného označení České pivo na ekonomickou situaci pivovarů v ČR

This diploma thesis deals with the findings of the existence an impact of the Protected Geographical Indication Czech beer on the economic situation of breweries in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part, which precedes the actual findings, is devoted to the description of company's performance in terms of financial management, methods of measurement and the topic of protected designations at European Union level, focusing on the Protected Geographical Indication Czech beer. The main research has been made by using the data of the financial analysis of breweries which owns the permission to use the Protected Geographical Indication Czech beer. These findings are based on the evaluation of selected classical indicators and modern indicator economic value added and further through the implementation of the primary exploration on the producers part by using the questionnaire survey. These results are subsequently compared. The overall conclusion of this thesis shows that the Protected Geographical Indication Czech beer does not affect the economic situation of breweries in the Czech Republic
