Účast veřejnosti na Aktualizaci územního plánu Statutárního města Brna

The following thesis deals with public participation in unsuccessful attempt to change of The local plan of Brno called Aktualizace Územního plánu města Brna. The first part of thesis is focused on transformation of Czech public administration system after year 1989 that brought an option of public participation. Further the first part describes land use planning taking into consideration options of public participation in this area. The second part of thesis is focused on searching for opinions of parties involved in Aktualizace Územního plánu města Brna case through series of interviews. This part of thesis also focuses on questionnaire survey performed among the inhabitants of the city of Brno. Based on evaluations of interviews and questionnaire will be submitted reccomendations to future prevention of problems in cases involving public participation. There will be also suggestions given to solve identified weak points in land use planning process
