This bachelor thesis proposes a design of a steel support element for a wood-based construction. The steel element is designed for a specific wooden construction. In this thesis the particular steel joint is designed and a detailed description, selection of material and technological manufacturing process is included. In conclusion of the thesis there is an economical evaluation of the steel element production. The attachments include drawing documentation, a list of all drawings and a technological process
