The impact of privatization on performance of companies and public opinion: evidence from Turkey

Privatizations are always seen as a source of better performance results, better profitability and eventually, better social wealth. The present Master`s thesis seeks to show on the example of Turkey case that generally accepted privatization benefits may not always be reached under the influence of real politics and economic conditions. As a starting point, the theory of privatization and Turkey`s experience with it were carefully examined.
