Israel: position on the international tourism market

The aim of this diploma thesis is to give an overview of the position of Israel in the international tourism market. In the introductory part, the thesis deals mainly with the theoretical definition of tourism and focuses mainly on the indicators that can assess the potential for tourism development. The second chapter summarizes the basic data on Israel, including the religion, which is absolutely crucial here. In addition to that, this chapter sums up the basic macroeconomic indicators that can describe the Israeli economy. The last chapter lists the specific prerequisites for the development of tourism in Israel, including not only cultural and natural monuments but also transport, accommodation and catering services offered by Israel to its visitors
