State capitalism in Russia

The bachelor thesis deals with state capitalism in Russia. The first chapter is focused on characterization of state capitalism and its history. It contains reasons, why some states prefer this type of capitalism and which tools they use to enforce their political goals. The chapter also explains advantages and disadvantages of this approach and briefly describes its features in China and Saudi Arabia. The second chapter applies the theory from the first chapter on Russia. It contains characterization of Russian economy and its history, focusing on the role of state in the economy. The chapter also describes tools of state capitalism in Russia, especially state-owned enterprises in energetic sector and sovereign funds. There is also an explanation of effects of state capitalism on Russian economy and global market
