Comparison of the tourism sector in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare and evaluate the current state of the tourism sector in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The thesis collects all the possible data from the tourism field held by national databases and other printed and electronic sources of both countries and then compares them. The main advantages of the thesis are that it provides both uniformity and an up-to-date interpretation. Both countries have their own databases and their own ways of processing data, which can cause problems when comparing specific pieces of information. The tourism industry is nowadays a significant part of the economy and the state budget. So now we speak of two countries which were formerly one country, but after the split they are seen differently not only with regard to tourism offered but also preconditions its future development. The thesis also includes SWOT analysis of both countries and presents the results of a questionnaire survey investigating the perception of the tourism industry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
