Utopia in the Czech interwar prose

(in English): The diploma thesis compares the selected novels of Czech interwar prose, ie. from the nineteen twenties and thirties, for the purpose of giving a versatile view of grasping the (anti)utopian genre, finding intersections, parallels and differences in the processing of utopian matter, themes, motives, compositional aspects, etc. Also, the thesis gives an overview regarding autho-rs of utopias in Czech and world literature, and about the development of the genre in historical context. Emphasis is put on the specificity of the Czech concept of utopia, on its diversity and possible inspiration for other literatures
