Nursing care of a patient after PCI with a focus on STEMI

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the nursing care of a patient after PCI with a focus on STEMI. The first part is focused on the diagnosis of an acute myocardial infarction and other related issues. The second part is a case report of a patient after an acute myocardial infarction treated with PCI. This part pays special attention to the nursing problems related to the disease and the intervention. Especially the potential risks of arrhytmia, contrast-induced nefropathy and bleeding are addressed. The education regarding healthier lifestyle of a patient is further elaborated.
