The thesis deals with the use of educational games in after-school clubs. The object is to find differences in the use of educational games in after-school clubs in towns and villages. The thesis describing the game, didactic game, features and characteristics of the games, is typology of games and the environment in which the game takes place. It is further elaborated youth leisure and functions of leisure. The thesis further analyses the town, village and effect the local environment. Next is describe leisure facilities for children and young people and after-school club. The thesis includes research, which was conducted by questionnaire, anonymously answering the governess of school care
