The archaeology at South Bohemian castles of the Lords of the Rose

The aim of the following thesis is to introduce the evolution of the medieval castle architecture in Europe, primarily in Bohemia. The main attention is focused on the South Bohemian district, the powerful noble stock Vítkovci and some of their residence castles. This thesis brings the basic overwiev of the family history and the construction development. The special emphasis is on an archaeological researches and their contribution to the observation of the construction development by the selected ancient monuments
