Add to ORKGThe Bachelor thesis entitled The National Memorial on the Vítkov Hill explores the intersection between the Memorial's artistic décor and politics. The Memorial represents a significant architectonical work of the 20 th century. Nevertheless, the political context of building construction as well as the influence of political situation at that time on the Memorial's décor are no less important. The thesis aims at studying the art reflections on ideas legitimizing the political power within the Memorial's area.
