The main focus of the thesis is to describe the phenomenon of fashion blogs as a specific style of online writing and to analyse its influence on readers in relation to printed fashion magazines. The theoretic part describes an evolution of online media since the beginnings of Web, also in the context of generational change. It focuses on the Generation Y and its relation to online media. Furthermore, it describes internet media and internet journalism and their current tendencies. The next part defines blogs in general and contains a brief history of the phenomenon, their comparison with traditional journalistic values and finally on fashion blogs themselves.
