Public Library Services Focusing on Teenagers: An Analysis

The aim of this work is to analyze public library services focusing on teenagers. Theoretical part describes definition of a public library and its services and analysis of some services focusig on teenagers offered by Czech and foreign libraries. Practical part is devoted to analysis of history and the current situation of surveyed public libraries (in Tábor, Strakonice, Český Krumlov and Soběslav). There is also a research included in this section - it is questioning libraries which services they offer to teenagers or why they don't offer this services. This work presents analysis of the different sizes of Czech public libraries in services focused on teenagers and also summary of this services offered by Czech and foreign libraries.
