Minor Place Names in the Area of the Municipality of Lány

The bachelor thesis provides an analysis of minor place names in the area and behind border of area of municipality of Lány in the Rakovník region, based firstly on the list of minor place names of Lány, Lány deer-park and Vašírov from the 1960s, secondly on own fieldwork. The analysis is based on motivation as well as on the structure of the individual names; studies by V. Šmilauer (1972) and by M. Majtán (1973) serve as a starting point for the analysis. However the possibility of application of a model classification (cf. Šrámek 1999, Pleskalová 1992) is outlined as well. A comparison of lists from the 1940s and the 1960s with the contemporary use of minor place names form an important part of the thesis. And new list of minor place names based on this part is constructed
