Injury or disease of the knee joint and the possibilities of orthotic fitting

Title: Injury or disease of the knee joint and the possibilities of orthotic fitting. Objective: The main objective of this work is a description of various diseases or injuries of the knee joint and the resulting restrictions on movement and stability of the knee joint and options of fitting suitable orthosis that these restrictions are reduced or eliminated. Method: The study focuses on the theoretical part, which is written by a bibliography. The first part is the attention paid to anatomical structure of the lower limbs, various kinds of diseases and injuries of the knee joint and limiting knee function. The second part focuses on the selection of suitable types of orthoses for individual disability. In this section, I will use in addition to literature and the experience that I gained while working on the prosthetic work and from more experienced colleagues on the practices held throughout the study. Results: The result will be a list of various injuries and diseases of the knee joint and the overview of suitable knee braces that can be used to improve the function of the damaged knee joint, and hence the entire musculoskeletal system.
