This BA thesis in Translation Studies consists of two major parts. The first part is a Czech translation of a selected part of an essay written by Pierre Bayard entitled Comment parler des lieux où l'on n'a pas été ? This essay, published in 2012, is a sequel to the author's previous book (published in 2007) Comment parler des livres que l'on n'a pas lus ? which was written in a similar format. The second part is a commentary consisting of an analysis of the original text, a description of the translation methods and the most significant problems of translation that have occurred during the translation process.
