Title of the thesis: Claude Monet's collection of artwork in museum Marmottan Key words: Marmottan museum, Claude Monet, painting analysis, impressionism Abstract: This thesis offers a complete reconstruction of Claude Monet's artworks in the Parisian Marmottan museum. The first part of the thesis introduces the museum and the donators, thanks to whom the collection was established. In the following parts, we are paying attention to the life of Claude Monet, a French impressionist painter, and on the basis of individual life phases we present paintings from the artwork collection followed by their analysis. The chapters are mainly composed of the influences and inspirations of Monet's work and the development of his style. The artwork collection is chronologically ordered and maps the painter's work from its beginning all the way to its peak. We are starting from the childhood of Claude Monet and the discovery of his painting talent, followed by a chapter that focuses on impressionism, its technical aspects and beginnings and then we return back to Monet's first impressions up to its peak works
